Is this suitable for me?
Athletics is a really simple way to get fit that doesn’t require any training or experience. However if you’ve not been active in a while you may want to take it nice and slowly the first few times you try it and build up gently. Lots of beginners try jogging for 1 minute at a time, and walking for 1-2 minutes in between. You can build up your jogging time gradually to suit your level of fitness.
Athletics is generally a safe activity for all ages and fitness levels, including pregnant women, if you’re worried about being out of shape, recovering from an injury or suffering from a condition, it may be worth consulting your GP before you start.
